New VAM with Security POV

We just put into GA our newest version of VAM, our vulnerability management platform and one of the foundations of our suite of security solutions.  This is version 5.3 and among the many enhancements and new features is our new Security POV module.  POV, for point of view, is designed to give our customers much better insight into managing their risk.  Vulnerability management as performed by VAM is a complete, closed loop process that starts at discovering devices on the network, scanning them for vulnerabilities, assigning the vulnerabilities to the responsible party or product to remediate, verify the remediation and then report on this process.  VAM stores a tremendous amount of useful data within its database.  With POV, customers will have the ability to use this data in a wide variety of combinations to give them never before seen views of their risk, their vulnerability posture and how they are performing over time in improving their risk management.   With about 65 reports available including differential reports, dashboard views and SANS/FBI Top 20 reports, POV can show you the information you need, how you need to see it. Also, using the exclusive "My Reports" area users can create their own customized reports starting from templates and adding "report-lets" as they desire.  The reports are available in a wide range of formats as well as being able to be emailed to users.  This is a real step forward for VAM and represents a high-water mark in the risk management reporting arena.  Our VAM team have outdone themselves this time!

For those not familiar, vulnerability management is really the linchpin of a successful, defense-in-depth, layered network security strategy.  VAM is a vulnerability command center that acts as the cornerstone for a wide range of security and network management functions.  Check out our site if you would like to learn more.
