How many hours can you work in a day?

Michael_farnum My friend Michael Farnum over at An Information Security Place has a great article up on what a good security administrator / manager has to do, to be successful.  This is actually the 2nd article in this series.  In the first, Michael spoke about getting your superiors support in paying for and implementing a successful security strategy.  In this article Michael lays out a sample list of things the average security manager/admin should have on their plate. I am not going to paste it here, but it is pretty exhaustive. The bad news is, I don't know if there are enough hours in the day to do all of this and I think there might be some things he has not even covered.  Have a look at the list though and you can appreciate what these guys are up against.  Another good point Michael makes is that most security admins are doing double duty as network admins as well.  Talk about overworked and underpaid!
