If the worm dies, what do the anti-worm guys do ...

... switch to NAC of course!  Dr. Anton Chuvakin of LogLogic had a good post up on his personal blog the other day.  He was speculating on whether or not the the era of the Worm as the top security foe is over.  As evidence he sites that the folks from Wormblog have been pondering if Wormblog is still even needed.  As further evidence he notes that the guys who used to sell "anti-worm gear" have switched to NAC.  He gives two examples of companies that have jumped on the NAC bandwagon as a result of the anti-worm market drying up.  I won't mention the vendors, but you can look in Anton's blog and see for yourself.  My question is, how long are people going to be fooled by these guys trying to re-purpose their failed security technology by jumping on the latest bandwagon.  Purpose built NAC solutions that were designed for this job are going to beat yesterdays failed, warmed up left overs, hands down every time.
