Which browser had the most flaws in the first half of the year?

If you think the answer is obvious, Internet Explorer, you're WRONG!.  Actually according to research from Symantec, Firefox had the most flaws in the first six months of 2006, though still about one half of all browser attacks target IE.  Bill Brenner over at SearchSecurity has a good article up with some more tidbits from Symantecs twice a year report on the state of security.  You can read more from Bill's article, but at the risk of spoiling the ending, let me say that it is pretty much what you would expect.  Consumers and financial data are the biggest targets, there are still way to many new vulnerabilities being found, web applications seem to be a particular target.

Mitchell and I are working on getting someone from Symantec on the podcast to discuss this further.  It would be interesting to explore some of this deeper.
