The answer is blowing in the wind

Wind_currents Doesn't it seem like yesterday that Symantec announced they were getting out of the appliance business.  They were going to work with Juniper and tell their customers to buy Juniper appliances that had some Symantec technology on them.  Well in a great example of managing by blowing in the wind, Symantec now announces that they are getting back into the appliance business in a big way.  They have formed a joint venture with Huawei Technologies to develop and distribute security and storage appliances according to this story. Is it any wonder that people question what the play is at Symantec and which way they are going.  I know one thing, going back and forth with the wind on these things is wasteful and not a great way to build a business.
